About This Place

Located conveniently at 10401 Montgomery Blvd NE in Albuquerque, Dion’s Pizza stands as a beloved destination for pizza lovers and casual diners seeking hearty, flavorful meals with a Southwestern twist. Specializing in gourmet pizza and classic American subs and salads, Dion’s serves up a menu brimming with a delightful blend of traditional and inventive flavors that reflect the spirit of New Mexico.

From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels welcoming and familiar—perfect for a quick lunch, a family dinner, or a laid-back catch-up with friends. The buzz of activity and the enticing aroma of freshly baked pizza create a lively yet comfortable environment that's quintessentially Dion’s.

The menu is a playground of robust, mouthwatering choices. Their iconic 505 Pizza brings an irresistible combination of green chile and pepperoni—an ode to local flavors that is both spicy and savory. For those looking to indulge in rich, layered flavors, the Meatball & Provolone and The Carnivore Pizza offer hearty, satisfying bites that perfectly balance melted cheese and savory toppings.

Pizza aficionados will appreciate the gourmet selections crafted with care: The Duke City combines sharp cheddar, turkey, green chile, and Parmesan for a unique, smoky bite, while The Santorini delivers a Mediterranean flair with feta, spinach, Kalamata olives, and basil melded into a vibrant, fresh profile. The Napoli Marinara is a rustic delight with Italian sausage, Kalamata olives, pepperoni, and roasted red peppers over a tomato-rich base, providing a complex yet comforting flavor experience.

Complementing their pizzas are fresh, crisp salads like the classic Greek Salad, bursting with tangy feta and Kalamata olives, or the hearty Chef Salad packed with ham, cheddar, egg, and bacon for those looking for a satisfying yet lighter option. Subs like the Turkey & Swiss and the Pastrami & Provolone come loaded with fresh vegetables, homemade Greek dressing, and flavorful meats, served with a side and a pickle spear for the perfect balance.

Customer reviews convey an authentic glimpse into the dining experience at this bustling location. Maria Rougemont praises the efficient service, emphasizing the lightning-fast turnaround on orders—ten minutes for a sub, slice, appetizer, and salad combo is no small feat. She also highlights a great value with the slice combo deal, pairing a one-topping slice with a medium beverage for just $6, truly a steal for quality Dion’s fare.

While most customers celebrate the strong flavors and variety, there are candid notes as well. B.L. Gur found the salad delicious but felt the pizza was soggy in the center during their visit, a reminder that even great places can have an off day. Feedback on the restrooms shows the restaurant’s high traffic can impact maintenance, yet the friendly staff and tasty green chile ranch dressing still won favor.

Longtime fans like Mike Hileman speak to the enduring love for Dion’s, having enjoyed its offerings for over two decades—an endorsement that speaks volumes about its consistent quality and local appeal. For those new to Dion’s, occasional hiccups like order delays, as shared by Debbie Smith, are met with understanding as the staff strive to make things right with good service and authentic friendliness.

Whether you’re craving a perfectly cheesy slice, a gourmet pizza packed with intriguing toppings, a fresh, crunchy salad, or a hearty sub stacked with deli meats, Dion’s Pizza at Montgomery Blvd delivers a flavorful experience with genuine Southwestern character. This Dion’s location is by far the busiest and the quickest! Ten min for an order for one. A sub, slice, appetizer, salad ready in ten min. Also did you know they offer a slice combo? One topping slice with a medium beverage for $6? That’s a steal to me. Yeah it’s more expensive than Costco but it’s Dions!

We ordered a lg 505 pizza and a tossed salad have to say the salad was delicious the pizza was not great really soggy in the center but was ok this was our first time trying dion's and have to say it was not that great the green chilie ranch was good . The restrooms were dirty and the soap dispenser was not working. It was a little busy but not so busy no one could clean the restrooms the tables were okay it could of been wiped a little better but not bad over all I would say it's worth a try and we would probably eat it again. As far as wheelchair accessible it seemed like it would be a tight fit but would be able to find suitable seating.

Upon arrival , I had stood in line to get my order taken . An older gentlemen around his late 40s saw me and didn’t try to ask if I have ordered yet until I had to stay eye to eye contact with him. I have ordered two slices of pizza and a small drink at 11:51Am. He did mention it will be a 10min wait and got my name . The time now was 12:17 and I still haven’t got my name called yet, so I decided to see if it was ready. Brianna Garcia quickly noticed me in line and asked if I needed help and that’s when I let her know I have placed an order about 20 min ago. She then looked around and noticed my pizza was inside the warmer for who knows how long . For the inconvenience , she did give me a refund which I was very satisfied due to the wait . Other than the gentleman , Ms.Garcia was very professional and quick to resolve the solution . She has exceeded the customer service expectation in this type of situation.

Always packed on the weekend! For a good reason. Delicious food! You will wait a VERY long time even if you order ahead! They are trying to figure out how to make it better for the drive thru. Parking lot totally packed with waiting cars 45 minutes.
